IMPLEMENTATION OF HYBRID WORKING
What is Hybrid Working?
Hybrid
Working is a more controversial topic in the recent years around the world. Consequently,
this model is appealing to all employees and employers in the multitude of
ways. It means that model is a flexible working strategy between remote working
and on-site working. In my perspective, this hybrid working strategy is more feasible
and really focused on employees’ working atmosphere and their work life
balance. Spontaneously, it ensures benign climate for employees’ physical and
emotional well-being. There are a lot of advantages and drawbacks here. Most of
the people are more passionate about this model and some employees are not
passionate and one of the reasons why they are not passionate about this model,
they have missed a camaraderie of co-workers. Under this model employees can
work autonomously with their self-assured manner. Lastly, it subscribes a
people- friendly philosophy of working.
A people-first strategy for workforce
management, hybrid work addresses the important drawbacks of distant work, like
loneliness, low job satisfaction, and a lack of community, while also fostering
growth. Workers using a hybrid work style are more remarkably able to work from
anyplace they can be productive, including from home. With hybrid work, the
workplace is no longer limited to the corporate office's four walls. Instead,
it is an environment where people work in-person, from home, and in coworking
spaces. Depending on the task that needs to be done, team members can move
between different sites (Cisco, 2023).The use of hybrid work is growing. Some
businesses objected, claiming that remote employment was unworkable.
Furthermore, Tsipursky (2023) claims that
hybrid work environments—where people work both in and out of the office—have
grown in popularity in recent years. Furthermore, this trend has been hastened
by the COVID-19 epidemic, which has compelled many companies to implement
remote work policies. While there are numerous benefits to hybrid employment,
like greater flexibility and the capacity to draw in excellent people from
anywhere, there are drawbacks as well. Keeping workers productive in different
physical locations is difficult when they are all working from different
locations.By making sure that their coworkers feel heard and that they are not
alone, supervisors can come up with creative strategies to manage and engage
with employees who are located far away. It is imperative to demonstrate an
increased awareness of emotional intelligence, especially in situations where
physical seclusion has become necessary (Feast, 2020).
Benefits of the Hybrid Working
1.Cafeteria bantering with
co-workers (this is more beneficial for emotional well-being of the employees).
2. Employees
can work autonomously, and it means that an enjoyable work- life balance.
3. It
is scaled back operational costs.
4. More
efficient and feasible workplaces.
5. This
model is more innovative and more entrepreneurial.
6. It
improves company culture.
7. It
reduces carbon footprint by reduction of CO2 emission.
8. It
eliminates the commutes.
9. Workers
are more engaged with commitment and particularly genuine participation.
10.People are more
passionate about different time period for working due to their disposition.
Moreover, this model really appeals to broader audience.
Disadvantages of Hybrid Working
1.
They have missed the
camaraderie of co-workers.
2. Along
the same lines, they have missed the cafeteria – bantering.
3. Harder
to manage the remote workers.
4. Not
applicable for all industries.
5. Lack
of communication tools and a benign atmosphere for every worker.
6. Diminished
customer experience.
7. Enhanced
security risk.
8. Distracted
and Discouraged employees due to isolation or lack of bantering with
co-workers.
9. Enthusiasm
is dwindling.
10. Diminished work ethic throughout the company.
In
conclusion, the Hybrid Working Model is controversial topic and more
entrepreneurial powerhouse for the company. It seems that this philosophy is
impacted in a multitude of ways for employee’s lifestyle and their working
behaviour. Research data reveals that most of the employees are liked to work 3
days for cafeteria bantering and 2 days for pants that don’t button. However,
Hybrid Working Model is key to work – life balance and it appeals to a broader
audience. Lastly, we need to scrutinize a more feasible and trustworthy Hybrid Working
strategy and considering the individual company disposition.
