THE EMPLOYEE DEVEOPEMENT IMPACT ON EMPLOYEE’S COMMITMENT
The management of human resources is currently the top priority for every organization. Employees are the most valuable resource for any business since they have the power to either strengthen or weaken the organizational profitability (Elnaga & Imran, 2013). Everything gets done with the help of equipment, supplies, and even money, but the most significant asset of every firm is its human capital.
According to Senge (2010) learning organizations are “organizations where people continually expand their capacity to create the results they truly desire, where new and expansive patterns of thinking are nurtured, where collective aspiration is set free, and where people are continually learning to see the whole together” hence relating to the employee training. The basic rationale for such organizations is that in situations of rapid change only those that are flexible, adaptive and productive will excel. For this to happen, it is argued, organizations need to ‘discover how to tap people’s commitment hence relating to employee resourcing and capacity to learn at all levels’ relating to career management (Alegre & Chiva, 2014).

Development
Development refers to learning opportunities that are intended to help employees grow. Development is not primarily concerned with skills. Rather, it teaches broad information and attitudes that will help workers in higher positions. Personal drive and ambition are frequently required for development efforts. Development activities, such as those supplied by management development programmes, are generally voluntary (Rao, 2004).
Employee Commitment
Employees' commitment is the bond they have with their organization. Employees who are committed to their organization generally feel a connection with their organization, that they fit in, and that they understand the organization's goals. Such employees add value because they are more determined in their work, have higher productivity, and are more proactive in offering assistance (Wainwright, 2022).
Employee commitment may be significantly impacted by employee development. Employee commitment to their work and the business as a whole is higher when they believe that their employer values their development and offers them chances for learning and promotion. The following are some ways that employee commitment is impacted by employee development:
Enhanced Engagement: Workers are more invested in their work when they have access to
opportunities for growth, such as workshops, training courses, and
skill-building exercises. Employees that are engaged in their work have a
greater sense of purpose and dedication to accomplishing company objectives.
Career Progression: Companies that place a high priority on employee development frequently offer well-defined career routes. Employees are more inclined to stay in their current roles and work toward their long-term career goals within the company when they perceive prospects for growth and progress.
Increased Job Satisfaction: Employees who participate in development efforts have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge, take on hard tasks, and learn new skills, all of which can lead to an increase in job satisfaction. Content workers devote more time to their work and are less likely to look for other employment.
Enhanced Loyalty: Workers are more likely to become devoted to their employer if they
perceive opportunities for both personal and professional development and feel
supported by their organization. They are more devoted to helping the company
succeed and are less inclined to quit in search of better employment prospects.
Positive Corporate Culture: Learning, development, and continual
improvement are valued in a positive company culture, which is fostered via
employee development activities. Employee commitment to the organization's
principles and mission is higher when they perceive that their personal growth
is valued.
All things
considered, making investments on employee development helps to create a
dedicated and driven workforce, which is crucial for the success of any
business, in addition to benefiting specific workers.
